Inflammation is the bodys first line of defense against injury and infection, but its a double-edged sword. A chronic inflammation response can destroy healthy tissue and cause more damage than the original problem, including fibromyalgia, arthritis and muscular pain. Symptoms of chronic inflammation include redness, swollen joints, join pain and stiffness, fatigue, headaches and loss of appetite.
A major cause of inflammation in our bodies is the food we eat, such as:
Additionally, cooking foods at high temperatures results in a browning effect, where sugars and certain oxidized fats react with proteins to form glycotoxins in the food. Glycotoxins are known to be inflammatory.
But food can also be part of the solution to the problem of inflammation. Some foods that are not inflammatory include: strawberries, blueberries, cherries, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, eggplant, string beans, zucchini, soy beans, mushrooms, and bell peppers, apples, oranges and onions. Protein that has little saturated fat and cholesterol are good choices, such as chicken breast, turkey breast, round steaks, egg whites, fish. And don't forget health fats that are rich in monounsaturated fats that come from nuts like macadamia nuts, walnuts, pecans, peanuts, hazel nuts, cashews and almonds and olive oil.
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae. Tumeric has shown ability to inhibit mutagenesis and carcinogenesis in laboratory animals, to enhance the urinary excretion of tobacco mutagens and to inhibit aflatoxins, potent carcinogens generated by the mold Aspergillus parasiticus found commonly on corn and peanuts. Tumeric also benefit the gastrointestinal tract by inhibiting growth of gram positive and gram negative pathogens.
The anti-inflammatory power of curcuminoids (tumeric) comes from their inhibition of enzymes that synthesize inflammatory leucotrienes, prostaglandins and prostacyclins from arachidonic acid, the ubiquitous omega-6 fatty acid so widespread in the western diet. Additional anti-inflammatory support comes from direct free radical scavenging. Curcuminoids' antioxidant power also significantly blocks serum lipid peroxidation (as do many antioxidants), resulting in significant reduction of serum peroxides and oxidized cholesterol.

Curcuminoids
are the brilliant orange pigments of Turmeric (Curcuma longa). They
belong to the family of polyphenols that includes all bioflavonoids,
flavans and flavanols. All polyphenols are antioxidants, with certain
groups stronger than others. Among the powerful are curcuminoids.
Curcuminoids have traditionally been used to support digestive health, liver function, and the health of both skin and the urinary tract. As phenolic antioxidants, curcuminoids support tissue integrity and help control free radical damage. Maximized Curcuminoids 1000 is the highest potency curcuminoid product available in the health industry.
Maximized Curcuminoids 1000 provide a full gram of bright yellow curcuminoids extracted from turmeric. The extract is more than 95% curcuminoids (curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin), bio-active phenolic compounds renowned for free radical scavenging and antioxidant activity.
The primary curcuminoids of Turmeric, curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin, dicalsium phosphate, cellulose, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, methyl cellulose coating.
