Allergies and asthma are a major cause of illness and disability, affecting allergic people from infants to seniors. Because allergies are cumulative, building in allergic symptom severity with each successive particulate matter exposure, minimizing exposure to all particulate allergens is vital for all allergic individuals. Common indoor particulate matter that triggers allergic symptoms include:

• Dust - Dust has long been the bane of meticulous housekeepers, and now there is another reason to banish it from the home. According to researchers, wheezing during the first year of life is more common in infants whose homes have high levels of bacterial endotoxin, an airway irritant that can be present in common house dust. HEPA filters are designed to remove dust as small as .3 microns, and do so quickly (Turned on HIGH, an Airpura can completely remove all particulate in a 2000 square foot area in 30 minutes.). Whereas oxidation air purification technology takes a bit longer because it is dissolving the particulate rather than swiftly removing it using a fan, and it oxidizes particulate as small as .003, such as, herbicides, pesticides and some viruses.
• Airborne Pollen Allergy - Pollen allergies and asthma symptoms triggered by trees, grass, plants and flowers that enter homes through windows and doors are quickly removed from the air with a HEPA filter. Heat Sterilization Air Purifiers also do a great job of removing pollen without needing to replace filters, but they can only treat rooms up to 650 square foot.
• Dust Mite Allergy - Dust Mite allergies and asthma symptoms activated by dust mite fecal matter in carpets, upholstered furniture, bed linens, mattresses and box springs, animal dander and house dust are removed. Heat Sterilization technology for smaller spaces also works well at removing dust mite particulate.
• Pet Dander Allergy - Pet Dander allergies and asthma symptoms triggered by animal dander and old skin scales are removed through HEPA filtration. Heat Sterilization is also good for removing pet dander.
• Smoke Particulate - Smoke is only one aspect of air pollution emitted from things burning: a cigarette, cigar or pipe, fireplace, wood-burning stove, coal stoves, home fires and forest fires. Burning substances emit particulate in the form of ash, soot, tar, chemicals and smoke. Tar is a gooey toxic chemical waste from smoking tobacco. I600 UV and TitanClean Upgrade

This is the ultimate in air purification, especially for healthcare offices, clinics and hospitals. In addition to having a Metal Capped HEPA filter, the TiO2 upgrade includes a powerful 17" U-shaped 20 watt Germicidial UltraViolet (UV) lamp and Titanium Dioxide Photo-Catalytic oxidation Technology (PCO), which dramatically increases the range of dangerous airborne chemicals that can be neutralized safely and effectively. • Odor / Chemical Control: The Hi-C Carbon Weave filter absorbs airborne chemicals and noxious gases and odors. It comes standard on the H600 and is an option on the I600. The Carbon Block has two microsuppress filters surrounding the carbon bed to contain the carbon within the filter and help inhibit the growth of microbials on the carbon filter. The regular carbon filter is 100% coconut shell and is used in the Airpura R600 and UV600. The Airpura V600 has a Super Enhanced Carbon blend that has been specially treated to deal with specific chemicals, like VOCs, formaldehyde or ammonia.
