VioLight Toothbrush Sanitizer
How to Test the UV Bulb
IMPORTANT NOTE: The replacement bulbs are for the BATHROOM
unit ONLY! The VioLight Travel unit has a lifetime bulb and only
needs new batteries periodically.
Follow
these easy steps to make sure your bulb needs to be replaced.
- Unplug your VioLight Bathroom Unit from the wall socket.
- Remove the frosted cap.
- Unscrew the lightbulb and remove from the VioLight.
- Look inside the lightbulb and check for a loose or broken
filament. There are two (2) thin metal springs which run up and down the
length of the bulb. These should be intact. Some of our UV bulbs
have a small metal particle inside the bulb which moves around
freely. This is not a broken piece of the bulb; it is used to ignite
the UV light.
- If the bulb looks OK, continue to step 7.
- If the bulb is damaged, the filament is broken, or appears to be
blown out, order a new bulb.
- If the bulb looks OK, reseat the bulb back into its socket, turn
it clockwise, and screw it into your VioLight so it is comfortably
tight.
- Replace the frosted cap. Make sure the cap safety guides line up
with the slots on the top of the VioLight base. Gently turn the
frosted cap COUNTER-clockwise until you hear a click. The click
indicates that your cap is locked.
- Plug the VioLight back into the wall socket.
- Press the blue VioLight button firmly. Your UV bulb should
ignite. If it does not ignite, but your bulb does not appear broken
or blown out, please call customer service at the number on the
bottom of this page.
